Description:

The seat of the state government, the capitol displays an extensive collection of sculptures, murals, early Alaska photography and wood carvings depicting the state’s main economic activities. Completed in 1931 when Alaska was still a territory, the building still displays some furniture from that period. Located in downtown Juneau, the Juneau-Douglas City Museum sits just across the street.

Guided Tours: Jun - Aug. every 30 minutes between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Self-Guided Tours: Available during regular business hours.
